Welcome to Danville Fire Fighters Local 429
The
Danville Fire Department was established in 1858. In 1935, The
Danville Fire Department was unionized by the International
Association of Firefighters. The Danville Fire Department
proudly protects 33,800 people living in an area of 16.8 square
miles. We operate out of 4 stations that protect a primarily
residential area. Our department is a public department whose
members are on a paid status. All of our 51 firefighters and
lieutenants are members of Local 429, International Association
of Firefighters.

Downtown Danville, Illinois was struck
by another fire on March 26, 2008. The
photos in this album are not as much a
record of the fire as they are a
representation of Danville's
firefighters and all the good they do
for our city.
Thank you for visiting the Danville
Firefighters Local 429 Web Site.
